Beach Bliss in Turks & Caicos

Imagine strolling along picture perfect turquoise water and white sand beaches with your loved one. Grace Bay Beach is one of the world's top 10 beaches, perfect for honeymooners, destination weddings, and families. Clients of mine recently returned from here and shared their photos, thoughts and tips with me.

Shhh, don't tell anyone though...they want to keep this quiet, friendly, stunning beauty a secret!

My Clients

Terri and Rip Copps, along with Terri's 3 grown children, Matt, Laura, Andrew and their significant others Samantha, CJ and Meredith, plus a family friend, Katie wanted to take a family vacation. They had visited Turks and Caicos last year and loved it so much they decided to return.

How did they discover this paradise? Laura worked teaching flying trapeze at Club Med Sandpiper in FL one summer during medical school. She loved teaching and the all-inclusive resort and suggested that instead of Christmas presents that year they all go to one of the Club Med resorts as a family. They chose Club Med Turkoise because it had the most beautiful beach and it was an adults only resort. The rest is history!

Turks & Caicos

So what exactly are the Turks & Caicos? The tagline of the Turks and Caicos Islands Tourism Department is "Beautiful By Nature" and that they are! There are 40 islands in the northern part of the Caribbean (south of the Bahamas), of which only 8 are inhabited. Providenciales and Grand Turk are home to most of the population. Turks and Caicos boast 230 miles of beachfront. Providenciales is home to Grace Bay. In an average year there are 350 days of sunshine! The temperature ranges from 80-90 degrees and the water temperature in the summer is between 82-85 degrees (winter it is a bit cooler at 74-78 degrees). The islands are British ruled but accept US currency.

Beach, Beach and more Beach!

Terri tells me that the beach (Grace Bay) is the most beautiful she has ever been to and the list of "other" beaches she has visited include Hawaii, Nice, St. Tropez, Dominican, Puerto Rico, Belize and more. She likes the fact that many people don't know about Turks so it is not over crowded. Much of their time was spent at the beach enjoying it. Do you blame them?

Potcake Place and Other Activities

My clients are huge animal rescue advocates (me too!). They fell in love with the local dog rescue called Potcake Place. Terri actually brought requested supplies with her from the US to the island to donate. They spent some time at the facility with the puppies. Did you know you can even take them out for a playdate on the beach! Here is an article from Huffington Post. What a fun way to make a difference. 🐶

Meredith says it is a short 10-15 minute walk to area shops and restaurants and the bonus is you can walk along the beach! The islanders are very friendly and they found the island extremely safe.

Turks and Caicos has also become a "foodie paradise". Thursday nights there is a very popular local fish fry that everyone is invited to. They are home to the world's only conch farm. Yes, you can have your "conch" and eat it too!

The area is known for their superb snorkeling and scuba. A few of my clients took advantage of the dive program offered at Club Med. Bright Reef and Smith's Reef are favorite snorkeling areas. Deep sea fishing and whale watching during migration are popular activities too.

Catamaran Sunset Cruise

One of the highlights of my clients' stay was a 2.5 hour catamaran sunset cruise. Snacks and Rum Punch were provided. Everyone in the group highly recommended it. I can totally see why! I envision honeymooners, newlyweds and lovers of all ages basking in the glow of the sunset and their love. ⛵️💕

Perfect for Destination Weddings, Honeymoons and Romantic Escapes

Turks and Caicos may be just what you are looking for! There are many resort options that offer ambiance, catering and other services which make up an unforgettable wedding or honeymoon. The legal process for a wedding is fairly quick and easy and the ceremony options are numerous. You can opt for an all-inclusive adults only resort like Club Med or the family friendly Beaches. An island destination wedding or honeymoon can accommodate all the luxury, romance and scenic beauty imaginable.
